Abstract
The effect of anti-tumor combining carboxymethyl-chitosan(CM-CTS)with adriamycin(ADM)was studied. Colony forming test and trauma test were used to evaluate the effects of CM-CTS and ADM on cell proliferation and cell migration of Hela in vitro. Animal experiment was used to evaluate the anti-tumor activity of CM-CTS and ADM in vivo. The results showed that combining CM-CTS with ADM could inhibit clone forming rate of Hela by 72.65%,which was significantly higher than treating Hela with CM-CTS(31.47%)or ADM(44.09%)only(p<0.01). The migration ability of Hela could be inhibited when Hela was treated by CM-CTS and ADM together. And the inhibition rate was 84.48%,which was significantly higher than that of CTS(37.47%)or ADM(56.29%)(p<0.01). Animal experiment showed that the suppression rate of CM-CTS or ADM was 16.96% or 27.68%(p<0.01). While two-drug combination had a synergistic effect, which inhibited the tumor growth by 47.32%. Therefore, synergistic effect of CM-CTS and ADM could effectively inhibit cell proliferation and migration of Hela.
