Advances in extraction methods and technology of effective components in Suaeda salsa

Extraction methods and technology of Suaeda salsa seed oil,flavonoids and pigment,et al from halophyte Suaeda salsa were reviewed. The extraction methods include solvent extraction method,ultrasonic-assisted extraction,microwave-assisted extraction and supercritical CO₂ extraction. Solvent extraction methods were traditional method often used to extract Suaeda salsa seed oil,flavonoids and pigment from halophyte Suaeda salsa. Ultrasonic-assisted extraction and microwave-assisted extraction were used to increase the efficiency. Supercritical CO₂ extraction was applied in extraction of Suaeda salsa without recovery and residual of organic solvents and the raw material could be fully used. Suaeda salsa should be integrated utilized in the direction of integrated extraction process and utilization of various components.
