Abstract
Objective: To purified sugar-smoking pigment and analysis its structure and properties. Methods: In this study, the macroporous resin was used to purified the sugar-smoking pigment, and the stability of the purified sugar-smoking pigment was studied. Results: XAD-7 macroporous resin had good adsorption and desorption capacity for sugar-smoking pigment. The optimal process conditions for the static adsorption and desorption process of sugar-smoking pigment were the concentration of the crude extract of sugar-smoking pigments 60 µg/mL, pH was 8.0, adsorption temperature 35 ℃, concentration of desorption 40% ethanol, pH 10.0 and desorption temperature 40 ℃. desorption solution concentration was 40% ethanol, and pH was 10.0, desorption temperature was 40 ℃. The best process conditions for dynamic adsorption and desorption were diameter/height 1:6, sample flow rate 2.0 mL/min, sample solution concentration 400 µg/mL, desorption solution concentration 40% ethanol, and desorption solution flow rate 1.5 mL/min. Conclusion: After being purified by XAD-7 resin in static and dynamic processes, the purity of sugar-smoking pigment were increased by 45.13% and 36.55%, respectively. The purified sugar smoked pigment was easy to dissolve, and the solution was clear and bright yellow, sensitive to light but has higher thermal stability. The sugar-smoking pigment might be the caramel colour Ⅰ.
