Abstract
The optimum extraction conditions of β-carotene from Spirulina platensis by ultrasonic assisted organic solvent / sugar aqueous two-phase system were studied, and its anti glycosylation effect was analyzed. On the basis of determining the extraction system as tert butyl alcohol/maltose aqueous two-phase system, the amount of Spirulina platensis powder, ultrasonic time and ultrasonic power were taken as independent variables, and the yield of β-carotene was taken as dependent variable. The results showed that, in the system of 3.4 g tert-butanol/2.4 g maltose, the amount of Spirulina powder was 0.05 g, fill up with water to 10g, under the ultrasonic power of 90 W and ultrasonic time of 5 min, the extraction yield of β-carotene from Spirulina was 3.19 mg/g. When β-carotene concentration was at ranges of 50 to 450 μg/mL, the highest inhibition rate of AGEs was 47.28%, which could provide a reference for the development of novel AGEs inhibitors.
