Effect of Low-carbohydrate Diet on Patients with Type 2 Diabetes

  • Low-carbohydrate diet is currently a more focused diet for diabetes,which includes low-carbohydrate,high-fat diet and low-carbohydrate,high-protein diet. Low-carbohydrate diets control weight and blood sugar by reducing glucose availability through gluconeogenesis and ketogenesis. But this diet has a lot of negative effects on the body. This paper reviews the effects of low carbohydrate diet on blood vessels,myocardium and kidney in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus,and the research progress of dietary compliance of this diet,so as to provide reference for the influence of low carbohydrate diet on patients with type 2 diabetes.
