Abstract:
In order to evaluate the ameliorative effects of walnut peptide NP-1 on the alcoholic emotions and cognitive impairments in SD rats, totally 40 healthy SD rats were averagely divided into control group, alcohol model group, NP-1 low, medium and high dose group, each group for eight. Using 10% alcohol as the only water source, emotion and cognitive impairment model were established. At the same time, the control group was given distilled water, low, middle and high dose groups were given different concentrations of NP-1 ( 0.32, 0.96, 2.88 mg/m L) .To determine the change of drinking quantity in rats, observe the effect of NP-1 on the change of weight in rats, elevated plus maze tested anxiety, morris water maze tested spatial learning and memory ability, forced swimming tested detection of depression. Using the automatic blood cell analyzer analyzed routine blood indexes. Compared with the control group, alcohol model group of open arm time in the elevated plus maze, immobility time on the forced swimming test and latent period of Morris water maze prolonging increased significantly ( p < 0.05) . The times of passing through the platform position and ratio of swimming distance on the target quadrant decreased, the ratio of leukocyte and lymphocyte increased.Compared with alcohol model group, the open arm time of different dose NP-1 in the elevated plus maze, the immobility time on the forced swimming test and latent period of Morris water maze reduced ( p < 0.05) . The times of passing through the platform position and ratio of swimming distance on the target quadrant of high dose group increased, elevated of the number of leukocyte and lymphocytes reduced abnormally. The effect of high dose group was the most significant, suggesting that NP-1 can effectively improve the emotional and cognitive impairment caused by alcohol.
