Abstract:
The mechanisms of carmine radish pelargonium inhabited gastric cancer cells ( MKN45) migration and invasion was investigated in the study. After different concentrations of pelargonium treatment, MTT assay, flow cytometry (FCM) , cell wound healing and Transwell
TM assay were used to detect the cell proliferation, cell cycle, cell migration and invasion ability. Protein expression of E-cadherin and N-cadherin were measured with western blot. The results showed 6 μg/m L pelargonium inhibited MKN45 cell proliferation, migration and invasion remarkable, induced cell S phase arrest. E-cadherin upregulation and N-cadherin downregulation might be the major mechanisms of pelargonium inhibited cell migration and invasion.
