Abstract:
Pleurotus eryngii is a kind of edible fungus varieties, which was edible, medicinal and diet developed and cultivated successfully in our country. The publications about the polysaccharides from Pleurotus eryngii were reviewed in this paper, including the extraction and purification methods, structure characterization, biological activities, and the application prospective of Pleurotus eryngii polysaccharides for the health benefit of human beings. Furthermore, personal suggestions regarding the future research and application of Pleurotus eryngii polysaccharides were posed for reference.
