Abstract:
Heavy metal contents in edible part of Houttuynia cordata Thunb in coal mine area were detected by national standard method, with Houttuynia cordata Thunb samples in non-mining area used as control. The results showed that the content of Cd,Cr,Ni,Al and Hg in the edible part of the plant from coal mining fields were higher than that in control samples. The content of Pb and Cr in the edible parts of Houttuynia cordata Thunb in coal mining fields exceeded the national standard limit. The ecological environment in coal mining area had a negative effect on heavy metal content in Houttuynia cordata, which increased food safety risk of Houttuynia.
