Abstract:
Objective: To extract polysaccharides from residue of Epimedium, explore its yield and antioxidant activity in vitro.Method: Polysaccharides were extracted by boiling- water method from residue of Epimedium which the total flavones had been extracted, the yield and antioxidant activity in vitro were compared with some other different extraction methods using crude materials of Epimedium.Antioxidant activity in vitro was evaluated by the scavenging rates to 3 kinds of free radicals,DPPH·,O-2·and ·OH. Result: The yield of the polysaccharides were extracted from residue was 3.68%.IC50 of DPPH·,O-2·and·OH were respectively 0.262,0.025,which 0.755 mg /m L.Conclusion: This technology not only consumed low- power, operated simply but also had a low loss and the polysaccharides from the residue had strong antioxidant activity in vitro.
