Abstract:
Objective:To examine the potential hpyerglycemic of flavonoids from sea buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides L.) BFH and each flow period of flavonoids BFH Ⅰ, BFH Ⅱ, BFH Ⅲ different dose groups in ICR mice with diabetes healthy IR mice were used as experiment animals to create an alloxan (ALX) induced diabetic model. Methods:Mice with ALX induced diabetes were randomly divided into 4 groups including model control group administered normal saline by adiministration and BFH and BFH Ⅰ, BFH Ⅱ, BFH Ⅲdifferent dose groups all administered control group, model control group, low, medium and high doses groups. All the groups were administered once a day for 4 consecutive weeks. Results:Compared to the control group, the BFH, BFH Ⅰ, BFH Ⅱand BFH Ⅲ groups could lowered the level of serum glucose and BUN significantly, and elevated insulin, glycogen and maltase levels. Conclusion:The BFH and BFH Ⅰ, BFH Ⅱ, BFH Ⅲ different dose groups not only effectively regulates the levels of serum glucose, but also was expected to develop into a safe and effective hypoglycemic products.
