Abstract:
In order to provide scientific basis for reducing tomatoes losses of storage and transportation. The 10main variety culivar tomatoes of Shihezi were investigated. The relationship of respiration intensity and fruit hardness were studied. The result indicated that there were three types of breathing jump according to its appear time during storage, they were early type, middle type and late type. The fruit hardness of different variety tomato had a trend of gradual decline. The later appear of respiration climacteric, the smaller of the peak, the larger of the fruit hardness, the fruit were resistant to storage. According to the change rule of respiration intensity and fruit hardness, results showed that the Shifan 28 was the most resistant to storage, the least resistance to storage was Shifan 36.
