Abstract:
The article studied the zeta potential in the syrup flocculation process for dissolved syrup of brown granulated sugar, and explored the feasibility of the optimization of flocculation technology for dissolved Syrup of Brown Granulated Sugar by using zeta potential analysis.Effects of pH, calcium chloride dosage, calcium hydroxide dosage and flocculating agent dosage were discussed. Results showed that the best Zeta potential was-3.02mV, under the optimal conditions:calcium hydroxide dosage of 5g/L, cationic polyacrylamide dosage of 0.014g/L, the best clarification rate was 41.95%, under these optimal conditions:calcium hydroxide dosage of 4g/L, cationic polyacrylamide dosage of 0.014g/L, the best turbidity was 865.26, under the optimal conditions:calcium hydroxide dosage of 5g/L, cationic polyacrylamide dosage of 0.016g/L.Zeta potential, decolorization rate and turbidity as optimum conditions were investigated. It indicated that optimum optimized conditions were consistent.Zeta potential measurements to optimize dissolved syrup of brown granulated sugar dissolved syrup back flocculation process were feasible.Zeta potential could reflect the nature of the clarify and flocculation process and the study provided theory basis for the optimum dosage of the clarifying agent and flocculating agent.
