Application of Near Infrared Technology in the Determination of Honey

  • Honey is a natural food with high nutritional and health value.It is widely used in food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic industries and so on. The traditional methods for the detection of honey are relatively simple, and the operation process is complicated. It is impossible to achieve rapid and real-time detection, and it is difficult to meet the quality inspection requirements of the bee industry. As a fast, efficient and non-destructive testing method, NIR spectroscopy is widely used in honey determination. Based on near-infrared spectroscopy, this paper reviewed the research progress of model establishment methods in honey detection from quantitative and qualitative aspects, and put forward the problems and the prospect of further research of near-infrared spectroscopy in honey detection.
