Effect of Microbial Metabolites on Intestinal Micro-ecological Systems

  • The intestinal micro-ecological system is the most important and complex micro-ecological system of the human body, and also one of the important links of human metabolism. Along with the development of molecular biology, microbiomics, metabolomics, and the maturity of high-throughput sequencing and other detection technologies, the role of intestinal microbes and their metabolites on health and disease of organs has been gradually revealed. This paper reviewed the effects of microbial metabolites on the intestinal microecological balance and health of the body, and briefly summarized the related derivative applications of microbial metabolites. This will provide a reference for the application of metabolites in clinical intervention therapy, and also a scientific basis for the development of bio-fermentation industry.
