Refining and Physicochemical Characteristics Analysis of Yanzhi Radish Seed Oil

  • The crude Yanzhi radish seed oil obtained by cold pressing was used as raw material to study the refining process. The refining effect of different factors including hydration degumming,alkali deacidification,adsorption decolorization and heating vacuum deodorization was investigated on details. And the physicochemical characteristics of Yanzhi radish seed oil were analyzed. The results indicated that the degumming rate reached 90.1% with phosphoric acid addition of 0.4%,water addition of 5% at 75℃ by the hydration degumming. The alkali deacidification conditions were alkalinity of 16 °Bé,super alkali amount of 0.3% at 40℃,and the deacidification rate was 93.7%. The decolorization rate of activated white earth was 83.5% with the addition amount of 0.3% at 80℃ for 50 min. The odorless refined oil was obtained at 170℃ for 1.5 h by the heating vacuum deodorization. All physicochemical properties of refined oil including the refractive index of 1.468±0.001,the iodine value of(98.5±0.6) g/100 g and the acid value of 0.28 mg KOH·g-1 were in line with the standards of secondary rapeseed oil and radish seed oil.
