Research Progress of Genome Shuffling Applied in Microbial Strains Screening

  • Genome shuffling technology is a new type of microbial strain breeding and improvement technology developed through traditional mutation breeding combined with protoplast fusion technology,which has the characteristics of easy operation,high efficiency and wide application. In this paper,the principle and operation process of genome rearrangement technology and its application in increasing the yield of secondary metabolites,enhancing the tolerance of bacterial strains and improving the utilization ability of substrates are reviewed.
