Preparation and Improvement Sleep Effects in Mice of Compound Uncaria hirsute Havil. Oral Liquid

  • In this study,the preparation process of compound Uncaria hirsute Havil. oral liquid(CUHOL)was optimized by the orthogonal experiment and the effect on the sleeping improvement in mice was evaluated. Results showed that:The optimized preparation process was to add 12 times water to estract the medioinal materials for 3 times,2.5 hours each time,and then concentrated after 70% ethanol precipitation for 24 h. The high(16 g/kg·BW),middle(8 g/kg·BW)and low(4 g/kg·BW)doses of compound Uncaria hirsute Havil. oral liquid had no significantly direct sleep effect on mice. Compared with the blank control group,the compound Uncaria hirsute Havil. oral liquid could prolong pentobarbital induced sleeping time at the the middle dose and high dose(P<0.05),meanwhile,the compound Uncaria hirsute Havil. oral liquid not only significantly increased the number of mice that fell asleep in subthreshold pentobarbital sodium induced sleeping time test(P<0.05),but also reduced sleep latency at all dosese(P<0.05). These results showed that the optimized preparation process of compound Uncaria hirsute Havil. oral liquid was stable and feasible,and the compound Uncaria hirsute Havil. oral liquid had the function of improving sleep as well.
