Abstract
Objective:To study the sustained release process of lavender essential oil in different matrices, establish a sustained release system of lavender essential oil was established and its efficacy was evaluated.Method:The release characteristics of lavender essential oil and two inclusion complexes in different types of matrix were studied by in vitro release experiments. The addition ratio was adjusted according to the release characteristics to obtain the ointment preparation with release mode, and the sleep aid effect was evaluated. Results:The release of lavender essential oil,hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin inclusion complex and β-cyclodextrin inclusion complex in essential oils were concentrated in the front, middle and late stage, respectively. When essential oils and Hp-β-CD were included. When the percentage of essential oils contained in the β-CD inclusion compound was 75%,15%,and 10%,the release of essential oils had a good release effect. Through pharmacodynamic evaluation,it could be seen that the lavender essential oil cream could improve the reduction of 5-HT level and increasing of DA and NE level caused by PCPA. Conclusion:By controlling the ratio of lavender essential oil to the two clathrates, the target release mode of constant-speed release in the early stage of initial release generally presented, and the cream system had a certain improvement effect on sleep.
