Effect of Protopanaxatriol Group Saponin Hydrolysate on Hyperlipemia of Mice Induced by High Fat Diet

  • The effect of protopanaxatriol group saponin hydrolysate on hypolipidemic mice were investigated by establishing a mouse model of hyperlipidemia. The male mice were divided into blank control group,high-fat model group,positive control group,protopanaxatriol group and protopanaxatriol group saponin hydrolysate low dose 10 mg/(kg BW·d),medium dose 20 mg/(kg BW·d),high dose 30 mg/(kg BW·d)group. Serum concentrations of total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),the malondialdehyde(MDA)content and superoxide dismutase(SOD)activity serum,were measured after 30 d of feeding. The results showed that the medium dose of protopanaxatriol group saponin hydrolysate could significantly reduce the serum TC content,LDL-C content in hyperlipidemia mice(P<0.05),extremely significantly reduce the TG content(P<0.01),and extremely significantly increase the HDL-C content(P<0.01). When compared with the protopanaxatriol group,the protopanaxatriol group saponin hydrolysate had a significant hypolipidemic effect. This also lays a solid theoretical foundation for its application in lipid-lowering medicine and health food.
