Optimization of the Response Surface Method of Resveratrol/Shelac Sodium Salt Microcapsule and Its Release Properties

  • The shellac sodium salt(SSC)prepared by sodium carbonate modification was used to embed resveratrol(Res),optimize the spray drying preparation process,obtain pH-responsive SSC/Res microcapsules,and promote resveratrol's absorption and utilization. Taking the ratio of wall material to core material(wall-core ratio),inlet temperature and feed flow rate as the investigation factors,the embedding rate and drug loading of Res were used as indicators. Based on the single factor experiment,the response surface design was used to optimize the preparation of SSC/Res microcapsules by spray drying method. The properties of RES microcapsules were characterized by FT-IR,SEM and TG-DSC techniques,and their release characteristics in simulated human intestinal fluid environment were studied. The results showed that SSC/RES microcapsules wall-core ratio was 3:1 (g/g),the inlet temperature was 160℃ and the flow rate was 9.5 mL/min,the Res load rate was 18.17% under the optimization condition and it was consistent with the predicted value. SSC/RES microcapsules were demonstrated spherical structures with smooth surface,with stable thermodynamic properties and good pH responsiveness. More it could be rapidly released in simulated intestinal fluids,and the cumulative release rate was 60%.
