Research Progress in the Application of Sugar Alcohol in Food Medicine and Agriculture

  • Sugar alcohol is the intermediate of carbohydrate metabolism,it has excellent performances such as not affecting blood glucose concentration in human body,improving food quality,and promoting the absorption and utilization of nutrients by crops,which had been widely used in the food,pharmaceutical industry and agricultural production in recent years,and would have a broad application prospect. This paper mainly summarized the research and application achievements of sugar alcohol in food industry,medical and health care,agricultural production,and briefly introduced the role of sugar alcohol in industrial manufacturing,agricultural insecticide and other fields. Finally,the development prospects of sugar alcohol industry were analyzed to provide technology for the popularization and application of sugar alcohol and promote its industrial development.
