Formation and Interaction of Multi-species Biofilm Formed by Foodborne Bacteria

  • In food processing, foodborne bacterial biofilms is the most harmful energy which brings unparallel issues of food contamination and other safety problems. At present, scholars at home and abroad have studied the multi-species biofilm in depth, but there is little research on the biofilm of mixed bacteria. On the basis of existing research, this paper summarized current theories about formation rules of multi-species biofilm by foodborne bacteria and the relationship of bacterium in the mixed biofilm to find the key of the biofilm formation and discussed the quorum sensing of mixed biofilm within multi-species biofilms to provide references for further studies.
