Research Progress on Plant Polysaccharide Aerogel as Adsorption Materials

  • With the dual requirements of functionality and environmental protection of the adsorbent materials,traditional adsorbent materials will gradually withdraw from the market.As a new type of adsorption material,plant polysaccharide aerogel will replace traditional adsorbent materialsin the field of environmental purification. In this paper,characteristics of aerogels were systematically summarized,and research progress of recent applications of plant polysaccharide aerogels in the adsorption of heavy metal ions,organic pollutants and oil in water,dyes in wastewater,surfactants in sewage and formaldehyde and carbon dioxide in air,were also introduced.
