Screening of Lactic Acid Bacteria for Removal of Deoxynivalenol and Its Effect Conditions

  • To investigate the detoxification effect of lactic acid bacteria on deoxynivalenol, using lactic acid bacteria isolated from salted fish, pickled cabbage and koumiss by co culture in order to select a lactic acid bacteria capable of efficiently removing deoxynivalenol, and the bacteria concentration, reaction temperature and pH. Effect of conditions on the lactic acid bacteria tolerance to DON was studied. The results showed that a strain of Lactobacillus paracasei with high removal ability of DON was obtained from more than 150 strains of lactic acid bacteria. When the concentration of bacteria was above 1010 CFU/mL,the reaction temperature was 37℃,and pH was 7,the removal rate was 40.4%. Lactobacillus paracasei had some tolerance to DON. Low concentration(0~50 μg/mL)of DON almost had no effect on the growth of lactic acid bacteria. It would provide a basis for its application in the feed and the detoxification of mycotoxins in cereals.
