Countermeasures for Improving the Labeling System of Genetically Modified Food in China

  • It is important to improve the labeling system of genetically modified foods (GM foods) in order to protect the interests of our country and the right to know and choice of consumer. Suggestions were made from the aspects of labeling catalog scope, threshold setting and negative labeling management by comparing the GM foods labeling system in the major countries (regions) and analyzing the present situation of labeling system in China.
