Enlightenment from Organization and Operation Mechanism of the American Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition to Strengthen Construction of Food Safety Technology Support Agencies in China

  • Food safety is not only a public health issue related to public health in China, but also a political issue related to social development, social stability, and China's international image. To ensure food safety through scientific supervision, should strengthen technology and scientific support on food safety, pay attention to science and technology research for food safety, enhance the cooperation and communication between the five major food pillars, and strengthen the construction of food safety technology support institutions. In order to find a reference for our practice and experience from the developed countries, the paper comparatively analyzed the organization of the FDA's Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition with current situation of the technology support institutes in China, looking forward to finding out some inspiration to construct the technology and scientific support agencies.
