Determination of Biochemical Components of “Dashancha” from Fengqing of Yunnan

  • The plantation area of tea plant cultivar "Dashancha" was increasing sharply in recent years. However, the germplasm was not evaluated. In this work, sun-dried tea leaves were produced by the one bud and two leaves of "Dashancha" and tea plant cultivars of Yunkang-10#, etc. The biochemical components were detected and compared. Contents of water extraction, tea polyphenols, free amino acids and polysaccharide in "Dashancha" were 48.77%±0.26%, 36.01%±0.92%, 1.66%±0.09% and 7.76%±0.99%, respectively, by ultraviolet spectrophotometric method. High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis showed the sum of contents of catechins was (154.49±31.54) mg/g, and level of caffeine was (17.42±1.44) mg/g. 44 compounds were detected in methanol extraction of Dashancha by LC-MS/MS. The determination of catechins showed that three peak areas in Dashancha were high than that in same quality of Yunkang-10# tea. Two of them were identified as 3-Galloylquinic acid and Corilagin. The biochemical components in "Dashancha" were demonstrated preliminary. And provide a base for further germplasm evaluation.
