Determination of β-lactamase inhibitor Tazobactam in milk by high performance liquid chromatography

  • An analytical method was developed and verified for the determination of β-lactamase inhibitor Tazobactam in milk by high performance liquid chromatography.The sample was deproteinized by acetonitrile and degreased by n-hexane. The chromatographic conditions was chosen Hypersil ODS-2 C18 chromatographic column using A∶B(10∶90)as mobile phases with 213 nm detection wavelength. The results of the calibration curve showed perfect linear in the range of 5~200 μg/mL and the correlation coefficient was 0.9991.Matrix-matched calibration standard was used for the quantification and showed the average recoveries ranges from 88.40%~94.18%. With the advantages of simple operation,high sensitivity and accurate results,the method was suitable for the detection of Tazobactam in milk.
