The protective effect of Roxburghii honeysuckle instant tea on chemical liver injury

  • To explore the protective effect on chemical liver injury of Roxburghii honeysuckle instant tea. Methods:SD rats were divided into 6 groups:blank group,model group,solvent group and Roxburghii honeysuckle instant tea with low does group,middle does group,high does group. Each group was ntragastric administration for 30d,the acute hepatic injury model was made by maize oil contraining 2% CCl4 except the control group,the level of ALT,AST and MDA were detected and pathology were carried out. Result:Compared with bank group,the levels of ALT,AST were significantly increased(p<0.001),the content of MDA was obviously increased(p<0.05)in model group,indicating that the model of CCl4 intragastric administrasion was successful. Compared with the model group,the activities of AST,ALT were reduced markdely(p<0.001),the content of MDA were decreased visibly(p<0.05)in Roxburghii honeysuckle instant tea high-does,medium-does and low-does groups. The total pathological scores were decreased observably(p<0.01),the ballooning degeneration reduced notable difference(p<0.05),the hepatic necrosis remarkably decreased(p<0.001),the other types of lesions had improved with varying degrees in each dose group. Conclusion:Roxburghii honeysuckle instant tea had protection effect on chemical liver injury.
