Rapid detection methods for six kinds of synthetic pigments in meat products

  • Objective: To establish a method for simultaneous determination of six kind of synthetic pigments including tartrazine, amaranth, carmine, sunset yellow FCF, allura red and carmosine in meat products by HPLC.Methods: Extracted with ethanol-ammonia-water solution in the samples, then defatted by ether.The pigments were separated on Agilent Poroshell 120 SB-C18 column, by gradient elution with a mobile phases made up of 0.02 mol/L NH4 Ac and acetonitrile, determined by diode array detector ( DAD) .Results: Six kinds of synthetic pigments had good linear relations when the concentration was in the range of 010 μg/mL and the average recoveries range of 70.33%93.08%.The correlation coefficient of regression equations could be up to 0.9999 and relative standard deviation was less than 5%.Conclusion: The method was simple, quickly, sensitivity and good reproducibility, which could be applicable to determine six kinds of synthetic pigments in meat products for lots of samles superviser detection.
