Health-care and nutritional function of Toona sinensis and the development of its products

  • Toona sinensis has aromatic flavor and rich nutritional value. It caused wide public concern due to its bioactive components such as flavonoids and polyphenols. The nutritional value and health-care functions such as antioxidant and anticancer activities, were introduced in this paper. The development and utilization of Toona sinensis in food processing, its prospects and unresolved problems were discussed.
