Advances in studies on modified atmosphere storage of fruits and vegetables with micro-perforated film

  • The application of micro-perforated film on preservation of fruits and vegetables is reviewed. The mechanism of modified atmosphere storage with micro-perforated film is introduced firstly, and then the research progress on mathematical simulation, the preparation of micro-perforated film are discussed, finally study on preservation effect of micro-perforated film compared to other packaging materials as well as advances in the synergistic effect of micro-perforated film combined with other fresh-keeping techniques on preservation of fruits and vegetables are introduced, respectively. The problems on preservation technology of fruit and vegetable with micro-perforated film and its application, as well as the future research directions are discussed.
