Effect of diethyl aminoethyl hexanoate on astaxanthin content in Haematococcus pluvialis LUGU

  • It was studied the effects of different concentrations of DA-6 in Haematococcus pluvialis LUGU cultivation process on biomass, astaxanthin content, reactive oxygen species ( ROS) level and chlorophyll concentration. The results demonstated that the 0.1 mmol/L DA-6 might slightly increase the biomass ( 0.52 g/L) , but optimal for astaxanthin production with 24.94 mg/g, which was 1.52 times than that of the control ( 16.43 mg/g) . Meanwhile, intracellular ROS level and chlorophyll concentration compared with the control group in the lower.The research showed that DA-6 induction could promote astaxanthin accumulation in Haematococcus pluvialis LUGU, which provided an effective strategy for the industrialization of astaxanthin.
