The content of polyphenols in coarse cerealswas abundant, and the further study on the function of polyphenols in coarse cereals was of far-reaching significance to our country 's coarse cereals industry and national health. The research progress of antioxidant, anti-cancer, anti-cardiovascular, cerebrovascular diseases, hypoglycemic and antibacterial activities of coarse cereals at home and abroad was reviewed, which provided a theoretical basis for the further research and development of coarse cereals.
