Genetic diversity of typical mungbean varieties in Northeast China by fluorescent SSR markers

  • Northeast China is one of the main producing areas of mung bean with abundant resource. It helps to improve the utilization efficiency of breeding that clear the genetic background differences between different mung bean varieties. Capillary electrophoresis detection with fluorescent ssr markers were used to analyze 40 typical mung bean varieties by using 8 SSR molecular markers.A total of 43 alleles were identified with an average of 5.4 alleles per locus. The polymorphic information content ( PIC) of tested materials detected by different primers varied from 0.40 to 0.75 with an average of 0.55.The distribution of the average number of allelic variation was Heilongjiang ( 3.63) = Liaoning ( 3.63) > Neimenggu ( 3.50) > Jilin ( 2.88) .The distribution of polymorphic information content ( PIC) was Heilongjiang ( 0.530) > Liaoning ( 0.527) > Neimenggu ( 0.469) >Jilin ( 0.382) . The analysis of genetic diversity of mungbean resources from 4 geographic origin indicated that Heilongjiang province was the most diversity region, and the last was Jilin province.Cluster analysis showed that germplasm from Heilongjiang province and Liaoning province were the first group, and those from Inner Mongolia and Jilin province were the second group. The genetic diversity of mung bean varieties in Northeast China was preliminarily identified in this study which provided reference for the recollection and breeding utilization of resources and laid the foundation for the further utilization of mung bean resources.
