Research progress of industrial applications of fish processing by-products

  • Aquatic products processing industry produces massive by-products every year, but the effective utilization of waste is very low.Disposal of these by-products will not only harm the environment but also make a waste of resources.So, extracting bioactive functional ingredients from these by-products can not only reduce environmental pollution but also reproduce high value-added products applied to the entire industry. This paper reviewed the research status of fish processing waste, particularly its industrial applications, hoping to provide a useful reference for efficient development and utilization of fish processing waste.
