Optimal condition for selenium-rich Lactobacillus plantarum cultivation

  • Lactobacillus plantarum Lb-30 was cultured to uptake and accumulate Se in modified MRS satisfying the dietary requirements of Se for huaman. And single factor test including Na_2SeO_3concentration,culture time,selenium adding time,initial p H,and inoculation volume were optimized with Box-behnken design. The optimum culture conditions were as follows:Na_2SeO_3 concentration 5.0 μg / mL,initial pH5.5,selenium adding time 7.6 h,inoculation volume 3.0%,culture time 36.0 h.The enrichment of selenium was 839.635μg / g after cultivated in optimized medium,which was 1.28 times that of the yield before.It can provide a theoretical basis for the production of selenium- rich Lactobacillus plantarum.
