Optimization of hydrolysis conditions for xylo- oligosaccharides preparation from the xylan on the solid acid catalyst

  • Xylo-oligosaccharides( XOS) were prepared by catalytic hydrolysis of beechwood xylan on solid-acid catalyst.Effects of reaction time,temperature and amberlyst-15 amount on the conversion of xylan and yield of XOS were investigated. The results showed that the optimal hydrolysis conditions for the preparation of the XOS were 0.5g xylan,0.3g amberlyst-15,reaction time 3h at 110 ℃.Xylan conversion could reach 100% and XOS yield was 41.97%.
