Study on scavenging effect of pesticide residues on fruit and vegetable by traditional Chinese herbal fruit and vegetable detergent

  • To study on scavenging effect on pesticide residues on fruit and vegetable by traditional Chinese herbal fruit and vegetable detergent,according to GB/T24691-2009,water,0.2% commercially available liquid fruit and vegetable detergent,solid fruit and vegetable detergent and traditional Chinese herbal fruit and vegetable detergent were used to wash sweet pea which contaminated by propoxur and cypermethrin.Residual quantity of pesticides was determined by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) and used to calculate pesticide removing rate.The results showed that the removing rates of propoxur by water,commercially available liquid fruit and vegetable detergent,solid fruit and vegetable detergent and traditional Chinese herbal fruit and vegetable detergent were 27.2%,54.4%,77.0% and 99.9%,respectively,the removing rates of cypermethrin were 69.9%,88.8%,64.6% and 94.2%,respectively. Traditional Chinese herbal fruit and vegetable detergent had best scavenging effect on both propoxur and cypermethrin.
