Effect of different modes of transport on logistics quality of broccoli

  • Taking fresh broccoli as materials, effect of different modes of transport on logistic quality and logistic life of broccoli was studied. The yellowing rate, decay rate, respiratory intensity, chlorophyll content, and other quality indicators were investigated regularly. The results showed that the broccoli was very prone to yellowing at ambient temperature, the effective circulation life of broccoli was only 1d.Ice transport and low temperature transport could reduce significantly yellowing rate, respiration intensity, delay the decrease of chlorophyll content and VCcontent, the effective circulation life of broccoli was prolonged to 3d. In the control of yellowing, effect of ice transport was similar to low temperature transport, but in the control of decay, effect of ice transport was lower than low temperature transport. Low temperature transport was the best transportation mode, but in the absence of refrigerated transport conditions, ice transport provided another possible for long- distance transport and sale of broccoli.
