Preparation of activated carbon attached chitosan and its clarification performance for remelt syrup of brown granulated sugar

The solid carbon- chitosan compound adsorbent was made by pregnation using the clarification performance of chitosan and the adsorption performance of porous activated carbon. Surface property was characterized by SEM,XRD.Exploring the decolorization rate of sugar juice with remelt syrup of brown granulated sugar as the object,when the dosage of the modified of activated carbon was 0.4%,the p H: 6.0,the temperature:80 ℃,the adsorption time: 60 min.The decolorization rate of sugar juice were amount to a single activated carbon of whose dosage was 0.5%.Showing that the solid carbon- chitosan compound adsorbent was more advantageous to decolouring the sugar juice.
