Safety analysis of heavy metals in new national standard maximum limits of contaminants in food

  • With the development of the society and the promotion of industrialization and urbanization, environmental pollution is becoming severer which results in heavy metal pollution in food, and this problem is interested by more and more people. 7 kinds of heavy metals in 127 standards of GB 2762-2012 were studied in this paper. Using acceptable daily intake( ADI) established by Codex Alimentarius Commission( CAC) and maximum limits( MLs)regulated in GB 2762-2012,theoretical maximum daily intake( TMDI) was figured out, then compared with the customers' real daily intake( RDI) according to the actual investigation, the research showed: 11 standards had certain food safety risks and 9 standards had serious food safety risks, the risk standards were accounted for 15.75%of the total 127 standards. It was suggested that the relative departments should pay more attentions on this problem.
