Research progress on the physiological functions and enrichment technique of GABA tea

  • With numerous physiological functions,γ- aminobutyric acid( GABA) has been widely used in various fields.Studies on its functions in tea have increasingly attracted the attention of tea reasearchers.This paper mainly illustrates the physiological functions of GABA tea( such as lowering blood pressure,anti- diabetes,anti- cancer,anti- fatigue and so on) and the present researches of enrichment technique in fresh leaves so as to provide a reference for the further study of GABA tea in the future.Finally,problems faced with in GABA tea development and prospective research in this field was discussed in this paper.
