Purification of the total flavonoids from cast fruit of Xanthoceras sorbifolia Bunge by macroporous resin

  • In this study D101,AB-8,HPD-400,D001,X-5 five models of the macroporous resins were selected to compare their static adsorption ability of total flavonoids valued by spectrophotometry in purification of the total flavonoids from cast fruit of Xanthoceras sorbifolia Bunge. And the optimized one was used in the following dynamic adsorption tests. Result shows that HPD-400 was the best. The optimum purification technology was as follows:sample concentration of 0.53 mg/m L,sample p H3.0,sample volume of 1.5 BV,sample velocity of 3BV/h,eluted with 2 BV deionized water and abandoned elute,then eluted with 3 BV 40% ethanol at the speed of 2 BV/h,and the elute was collected. The yield of total flavonoids was 45.79%. As a result HPD-400 macroporous resin with optimized conditions could purify the total flavonoids from the cast fruit of Xanthoceras sorbifolia Bunge effectively and with process stability.
