Characterization of the monosaccharide composition and physical and chemical properties of Ledum polysaccharides

  • The monosaccharide compositions, enzyme inhibition and antioxidant properties of Ledum polysaccharides were analyzed by the high performance anion exchange chromatography,PNPG and ABTS method.The anion exchange chromatography results showed that main composition of Ledum polysaccharide were rhamnose,arabinose,xylose,mannose,glucose and galactose. The inhibitory activity of α- glucosidase effect was positively correlated with concentration,and the inhibition rate was 30%,when the concentration was 3 mg / m L.The EC50 of scavenging effect of ABTS radical was 2.25 mg / m L.It contains abundant monosaccharide components and possessed excellent inhibitory activity of α- glucosidase and antioxidant activity.
