Application of multiplex polymerase chain reaction in detection of foodborne pathogens

  • Multiplex polymerase chain reaction ( m PCR) for detection of foodborne pathogens is a kind of detection technique which can simultaneously amplify multiple gene fragments of the one pathogen or different pathogens.Due to these advantages of high specificity, sensitivity and efficiency, m PCR is widely used for the detection of foodborne pathogens. In this article, the applications of m PCR in the detection of foodborne pathogens during the past 10 years are reviewed, and the influence factors or problems of m PCR are discussed.
