Effect of 1-MCP treatment on storage quality of sweet persimmons and discriminant analysis by electronic nose

  • Effect of different treatments on storage quality of sweet persimmons during ambient shelf life,cold storage and shelf life after cold storage respectively was studied,and discriminant analysis of volatile constituent in sweet persimmons with different treatments by electronic nose. The results showed that electronic nose could identify sweet persimmons during ambient shelf life after postharvest and cold storage by LDA,but electronic nose could not completely identify sweet persimmons during cold storage by LDA. 1-MCP could postpone the decrease of pericarp L* and b* value and fruit tissue(pericarp break force,pericarp brittleness and flesh average firmness),especially during shelf life after cold storage. Volatile constituent discrepancy between 1-MCP treatment group and control group during ambient shelf life and cold storage was lesser,and volatile constituent discrepancy between 1-MCP treatment group and control group during shelf life after cold storage was more. So electronic nose should effectively distinguish sweet persimmons with 1-MCP treatment and control during shelf life after cold storage.
