Preparation and application of octenyl succinate anhydride nanofibrilled cellulose ester

In this study,high density steam flash-explosion(HDSF) as an innovative pretreatment of biomass was firstly employed to treat rice straw to extract NFC. And the present study was intended to investigate reaction conditions for esterifying NFC with OSA and to explore the practical application of the esterification product in dietary fiber with strong adsorption of oil. The results indicated that suitable parameters for the preparation of OSA-NFC were as follows:reaction time 4 h,reaction temperature 40 ℃,p H8.5,OSA concentration3%(in proportion to NFC),concentration of NFC 3%,and the reaction efficiency could be 95%. After modification,the oil holding capacity of OSA-NFC could be 5.56 ~9.33 g/g. It showed a good application prospect in dietary fiber with strong adsorption of oil.
