Screening of High- yeilding Plantaricin 163-1Strains induced by 60Coγ- ray and Diethyl sulfate

  • To obtain high yield and stable strain for the production of plantaricin 163- 1,60Coγ- ray and Diethyl sulfate were employed to induce Lactobacillus plantarum 163 to enhance the production of a novel bacteriocin Plantaricin 163-1.Through the method60Coγ- ray and diethyl sulfate( DES) mutagenesis,the optimum parameters of60Coγ- ray and diethyl sulfate was determined by observing the lethal rate of each methods,which irradiation dose of60Coγ- ray was 0.6 k Gy and DES treatment was 0.7%,treated for 25 min,at 35 ℃.At last,the high- yielding mutant strain L150 was obtained and had stable inheritance. The antibacterial activity of the mutant L150 was 2.11 times comparison with original strain.
